Civic Participation

Do you find Galactic Senate debates in Star Wars to be easier to understand than those in the U.S. Senate? Have you ever wondered who actually attends the “electoral college?” The U.S. government can seem just as complicated as it is important. This session will provide some clarity so you will feel equipped and able to participate in local and national civics. There will be a quick overview of our political system’s levels of government. We will discuss the processes by which they are to abide and functions they perform. You will leave the session with tools to help you work with your representatives both near and far to ensure that your community thrives.
